Tom Stubbs recently died on December 31, 2000. Tom was practicing free diving, where the diver goes under and holds their breath for the duration of the dive. Tom was leaving to Hawaii in several days to get training, and he was practicing holding his breath underwater in a hot tub in Mesquite Nevada when he lost consciousness and drowned. CPR was performed and he was being transfered for air-lifting when he was pronounced dead. Tom was very special to many people and will indeed be greatly missed by all.
At this time no original artwork is for sale. Additionally, the Lake Powell Print is no longer for sale as we have only a few left and we wish to make them available to his closest friends. We have a good supply of the Trout Lake and Canyon De Chey Prints available and so they remain for sale, but please anticipate delays in shipping as we are understandably overwhelmed with the situation at this time.
Please keep Tom in your prayers and hearts. We the Stubbs family appreciate all the love and support we are receiving from so many of you. Thank you.
Anyone wishing to make a contribution may do so by sending a check payable to the Tom Stubbs Memorial Fund to the address below:
